My Story

I have always considered myself an athletic, healthy person. In high school I was a swimmer and I never had to worry about what I ate. When I went to college I did not continue with swimming, but it really didn't affect my health. I knew how to eat healthy and I was one of the rare freshmen who did not gain the freshmen fifteen. I went to the gym regularly and I ate as best as I could in the cafeteria.

After getting married I continued my healthy lifestyle and flourished with my husband as my new workout buddy. We were in great shape, loving life. Looking back, my true fitness journey did not begin until after having a baby. I don't know what it was but I gained 50 pounds during my pregnancy. It was a lot, but my doctor never told me that I gained too much or too little, so I didn't let the number on the scale affect me.

After bringing our little girl home, I really began to buckle down on trying to lose my baby weight. It has been the hardest journey. Again, I had never really had to work at my weight before. For me, my baby weight just did not fall off. I have worked to get every pound off of my body. I lost most of the weight, but when it came to the last 15 pounds, I just couldn't do it.

That's when I found Beachbody. I joined my first challenge group and began using the 21 Day Fix and Shakeology. THIS was my game changer. I found the missing piece...my diet. I was constantly working out before, but not paying attention to what I was eating. The result was NO results. After implementing the 21 Day Fix, I lost those last fifteen pounds in a quarter of the time it would have taken me on my own. I am finally comfortable in my own skin again.

I became a coach to help others who struggle with weight loss and who want to learn about how to lead a healthy lifestyle. I get to inspire people. I get to help people. I get them to achieve their goals.
