22 Weeks Pregnant --- and Still Coaching!

I will say, being pregnant has certainly put a spin on being a Beachbody Coach. Not in a bad way at all, but in a completely wonderful way! I have been able to connect with all kinds of different women. We are able to share our struggles and triumphs of our growing bellies and our fears of how our bodies will react after our little ones make their debut.

This is my second pregnancy and I have noticed some definite positive changes from this time compared to the last.

I have MORE energy.
I would be lying if I said I was not exhausted during my first trimester, because I definitely was! As a personal choice for my pregnancy, I do not drink caffeine. In order to combat the fatigue that sets in, I have managed to maintain good, healthy eating habits. I eat every 2-3 hours and that always helps boost my energy. I also exercise at least 5 days per week. Those endorphins really do wonders! Lastly, I make sure to get my Shakeology in daily. It is as delicious as ever and keeps my nutrition and energy on point!

I have LESS cravings.
Nothing super exciting to report here. It is the healthy diet and the daily workouts and Shakeology. All three keep me in check and I have never felt better!

I have gained LESS weight.
When I was pregnant with my daughter, at this time in my pregnancy I gained 15 pounds, this time, 9 pounds. A healthy weight gain is good. As long as my doctor says my weight is good, I'm good with it!

My LIFESTYLE is different.
During my first pregnancy, my idea of a quick dinner was ordering some takeout pizza and watching TV. Now, my weekly meal plan has been my saving grace. I prep my food and make sure to have healthy options available in the house. I never grocery shop on an empty stomach! Likewise, I have worked out more during the first half of this pregnancy than I did during my ENTIRE pregnancy with my daughter. That is proof that this is a lifestyle! :) I modify my workouts to fit my baby bump and I am still able to get a great burn where I can! My go-to programs while pregnant have been PiYo, 21 Day Fix, and TurboJam. Beachbody On Demand has been AMAZING!

Remember, these are just MY thoughts on pregnancy and how leading a healthy lifestyle has helped me.
